Yayoi Kusama’s obsession with obesessions

Surrealistic, conceptual, minimal, pop, brut, abstract, expressionistic, traumatic,  psychological, psychodelic, poetic and sexual: a  journey into the life of Japanese Artist Yayaoi Kusuma.

Kusama checked herself into a Hospital for the Mentally Ill and eventually took up permanent residence. She has been living at the hostpital since, by choice .

Tate modern in London displays a spectacular exhibition on Yayaoi’s artwork, who devoted her life to polka dots thats well worth seeing! 9 February – 5 June 2012
